Ranking order
Royal Flush - hard to get: the hand is Ace to 10 of the same suite, running consecutively.
Straight Flush - hard to get: another series of the same suit, less valuable than a Royal Flush. You cannot 'wrap around' the numbers.
Four of a Kind - the same card (value) from four different suits. Aces are the best hand.
Full House - this is a frequent hand with a two-three combination. It means you have two of a kind followed by three of a kind.
Flush - five cards in the same suit with no other connection necessary. The player that holds the highest-scoring cards wins.
Straight - five in numerical sequence irregardless of the suit.
Three of a Kind - same card value from each suit. Three Aces beat the other cards.
Two Pair - two pairs of cards from the same suit, Try to get two Aces and two King.
One Pair - two cards card from different suits, two Aces being the best.
High Card - uncommon, but when there are no card sets among the poker players, the player holding the highest-value card wins.
Basic Rules
1) The poker players open ante up and place a bet in the pot.
2) The poker dealer deals each player five cards. Keep the cards face down.
3) The poker players look at their cards.
4) A round of betting begins.
5) Now the players can trade in one, two, or three cards from their hand for new ones, otherwise you can stand pat.
6) If you have an Ace you can trade in four cards, but you have to show the other players your Ace card.
7) After everyone receives their new cards, there's another round of betting.
8) After the betting, the poker players show their hands. 9) The best poker hand wins the ante.
